How can you capture her attention? How can you ensure she responds? And what do you do once she does respond?
Lucky for you, I'm about to tell you all these things.
EMAILING FOR THE FIRST TIME TIP #1 KEEP IT SHORT
The last thing you want to do is send her an email that is so long it's intimdating. People who are online aren't big on reading for extended periods of time so keep your note short.
Let her know you noticed her and that you'd like to get a dialog going.
EMAILING FOR THE FIRST TIME TIP #2 SEND ONLY ONE EMAIL
The minute you press send, that's it. You're done. There's no writing a second email to tell her something you may have forgotten to mention.
Once you send that email out, the ball's in her court and you have to wait for her to respond. If she doesn't, then that's that. Move on. Don't hound her with myriad emails and say ridiculous things like "In case you didn't get my last email..."
Believe me, she got it.
EMAILING FOR THE FIRST TIME TIP #3 MENTION SOMETHING YOU REMEMBER
If she mentioned that she loves to snowboard in her profile, take that and run with it if that's what captures your attention. Mention the last place you went snowboarding or a wicked fall you had once upon a time.
The point is to take something from her profile and use it to let her know that you're paying attention and not SIMPLY CUTTING AND PASTING THE SAME EMAIL to every woman who catches your eye.
Your objective should be to focus on her, not yourself. So take some things from her profile and inject them into your email.
EMAILING FOR THE FIRST TIME TIP #4 ASK A QUESTION
If you want her to respond, ask her a question that might prompt her to do so. Make sure you don't ask a question that's already been answered in her profile, that is annoying.
Instead, think about what you'd like her to elaborate on. Did she mention she loves dogs? Then what's her favorite breed? Did she mention that she has a weakness for chocolate? Then ask her if she has ever tried Godiva's 70% dark.
