READER QUESTION #1
I have been dating a man I met online for 3 months now. He's wonderful and treats me great. The thing is, I haven't met any of his family or friends. We spend most of our time at my place. Whenever I ask about meeting his family and friends, he promises that I will but then never makes the next move. I am starting to get suspicious. Do I have a right to be? What should I do?
"IDA"
JULIE SPIRAS ANSWER:
You should absolutely feel suspicious. Not meeting friends and family is a red flag! It's usually a sign that you are not the only woman in his life. You don't mention how often the two of you see each other, as that could affect the type of relationship that you have.
Perhaps someone else has priority on the weekends and for family holidays, or he might just be juggling too many women to make any woman the number one on his list.
When a man is crazy about a woman, he wants to introduce her to everyone in his world to get the thumbs up and vote of approval.
The 3-month mark is pivotal for any relationship. It's quite often the time when couples who have been casually dating decide whether to move their relationship forward to a more exclusive or serious relationship, or go their separate ways. It's the time when you either retire your online dating profile, or not.
The best thing you could do is to date other men until you know you are in a committed relationship. Put your profile back online and don't be available for every date he requests. Your Inbox will become full and you might meet someone else who looks forward to bringing you into his world.
