10 Dating Rules That Apply To Job Interviews

10 Dating Rules That Apply To Job Interviews Cover
People always say that first dates are like job interviews and the folks over at Law.com prove it.

The site lists 10 dating rules that can also help you nail a job interview, and the list is spot on.

1- LOOK YOUR BEST - If you don't dress well, you will be treated like the slob you are.

2- DISPLAY CONFIDENCE - No one wants to date or hire someone who seems so damn insecure all the time.

3- BE INTERESTED - If you yawn during a conversation, guess what's going to happen? Your phone won't ring tomorrow.

4- HAVE INTEGRITY - Be willing to learn and grow. Women like that because they will want to change everything about you. Bosses like that because you're flexible.

5- BE COOL - Whether you haven't had sex since the '90s or haven't worked in as many years, acting like it will get you nowhere fast.

6- DONT BADMOUTH THE EX - Even if they slept with your best friend or were the worst micromanaging tyrant, badmouthing the ex will not score you any points.

7- BE PREPARED - Learn as much as you can about the person or company you're meeting with. Ignorance does not work in dating and professional settings.

8- PERFECT YOUR PITCH - When it comes dating and work, you're objective is to sell yourself, so figure out what you're about and pitch it to perfection.

9- GET THE TOUGH QUESTIONS - Find out what the tough questions are: "How do you feel about marriage?" Or "what would your last boss say is your biggest weakness?" and learn how to answer them.

10- MIND YOUR MANNERS - Treating wait staff like crap or showing up to an interview late is tacky and disrespectful.
