Blind Date Tips For Survival

Blind Date Tips For Survival Image
It takes a lot of courage and tact when it comes to surviving blind dates. You might be reserving a table on an exquisite five star restaurant while you are completely clueless about your blind date and if you will get attracted to him, much less if both of you will be having to talk about for hours. Rather than making yourself undergo this writhing form of slow torture, you could set things out to have a rapid "hit and run" style of blind date. Chances are that the guy you will meet will be just as relieved as you are.

First, you have to assess the success rate of your blind date. If you are having a hunch that the man that you will meet will be the man of your dreams, as what my wife has told me (laughs), give everything what you've got to make it the most memorable night of your lifetime. However, if you are having a gut feeling that you will not like the guy that you will meet on the blind date, carefully think of a strategy of how to get out from the date politely. Still, give your date a chance.

You have to get as much information as you can about that guy that you will meet prior to the "judgment day". Typically, blind dates are set up by people who are trying to bring their mutual friends closer together while they are both strangers to each other. You could ask from the people who have set up you blind date for some valuable information about him. Bribe them if you want. Hahahah!

The rendezvous point is usually set by the people who have set up the blind date. This means that both you and your date will have to locate another place to continue your date. If you are planning to have a hit-and-run blind date, you could suggest the guy that you will meet to take you on a coffee shop or a mall, where you could have a lot of exit routes and carry out your devious plan of pressing the eject button. Carefully lay out your strategies before you meet your date in the day of reckoning. Hehehe.

If you are on the blind date and you actually like the guy you meet, you could ask him some open ended questions to keep the conversation alive and to keep him interested or engaged with your date. Remember that there won't be any dull or awkward moments if somebody will keep on talking to entertain the other.

However, if you don't like that guy you are having a blind date with; do not be afraid to get out of it. Rehearse the plans that you have made within your mind and carry it out without showing any signs of nervousness. Be sure that you bid goodbye on a polite way. He will not be able to do anything about your great escape, anyway. If you can be frank about it, tell him in a nice way.
