So why did she cheat on me? Why do women cheat at all?
I'll never know because she never told me and she moved to Venezuela, but from what I gather from our final conversation, it was my fault. But was it really? Is it possible that I thrust her into another man's arms and into his bed?
POSSIBLE REASONS WHY WOMEN CHEAT
I consulted the help of some of my childhood girlfriends and from what I gather, even they think I did something wrong. Out of the seven girls I know, only one offered me something I felt was useful regarding why women cheat.
WHY WOMEN CHEAT REASON #1 I STOPPED GIVING HER ATTENTION
One girl insisted that I must have stopped being who I was when we first met. As though I somehow began to take her for granted and cared not that she needed my attention.
DID I? But I did give her attention. I regularly gave her massages, hot baths, made love to her, made candlelight dinners, talked to her about how much I loved her and why I was so happy. To be quite honest, I never stopped giving her attention.
WHY WOMEN CHEAT REASON #2 I STARTED LOOKING DIFFERENT
Another friend of mine insisted that it might be because I put on some weight and no longer have that six-pack I did when we first met. I stopped taking care of my appearance and that turned her off to the extent where another man managed to pique her interest.
DID I? It's true, I did put on about 10 pounds over the three years that we were dating, but my transformation is not so severe that you wouldn't recognize me three years later. As well, she gained 20 pounds since we began dating and when I told her that we should join a gym together, she freaked out on me.
WHY WOMEN CHEAT REASON #3 I LET ANOTHER MAN SEDUCE HER
Yet another one of my girlfriends insisted that my ex-girlfriend must have given me some subtle signs that I just did not pick up on. As though she was trying to let me in on what was going on without actually saying the words.
DID I? Huh? I don't even understand that. I was always good to her. Our lovemaking was intense and lasted hours most of the time, even up to the very last days of our relationship. I don't believe for a second that I let anyone seduce her. When women cheat, I can't believe that they reconcile that it's because their guy somehow let it happen.
