Online dating isn't easy, and sometimes writing an online dating profile makes things that much more difficult. But rather than just toss one together, you need to develop a dating profile that reveals the good things about you.
That said, here are some phrases and words that you should definitely omit from your dating profile.
WORDS TO OMIT FROM YOUR DATING PROFILE
10- MISSPELLS
If you still don't get the difference between "then" and "than", that's one thing, but if you throw together your profile without paying attention to any spelling errors, you may not attract the kind of people you;re searching for.
Why?
Well, to be perfectly honest (rather than be honest in a flawed way), correct spelling shows your attention to detail. Spelling correctly shows that you have taken the necessary time to proofread the information you're providing. It shows that you're willing to make the effort to get it right.
Bad spelling shows a lack of intelligence, lack of willingness to put any effort into even the smallest things, like, for example, writing an online dating profile. And hey, if you're not willing to pay attention to the small stuff, how fast do you run in the other direction when the big stuff rears its head?

9- NO DRAMA
In the world of clich'e online dating lyrics in profiles, this one lists pretty high. The worst part is that any time someone writes this, it's a pretty safe bet that there are drama events held nightly with an occasional matinee.
Even if you don't like drama, your best bet would be to meet the person, assess if they like drama and then make your decision. But writing that you don't want drama sounds like you've not only been involved in lots of drama, perhaps that's what you actually prefer.

8- I CANT BELIEVE IM DOING THIS
Or better, "I don't know what I'm doing." These phrases make you sound like an idiot. Why? Well, because if you can't believe it, or don't know what you're doing, then you must be stupid and have absolutely no confidence in your efforts.
Own it; you're on a dating site and your seeking a significant other - there's no shame in that. Get a grip, write up your profile and make no mention of any insecurity. It sounds amateur.
WORDS TO OMIT FROM YOUR DATING PROFILE
7- INTELLIGENT
If you are intelligent, then your dating profile would be evidence of that and you wouldn't have to clarify that you are smart. It boggles the mind how often people write that they're intelligent in their profiles as though the rest of their profile would indicate otherwise.
If you were really smart, you wouldn't have to drive that point home, now would you?

6- LOW MAINTENANCE
Ugh! What does this even mean? According to the Urban Dictionary, it is: "Someone who is easy to please, does not require constant pampering, attention or gifts or things done "their way or no way". One who is genuinely happy to enjoy the company of others. Easy-going, unselfish and usually a joy to be around." So is this really you, or do you just wish it were you?
And for the record, the "low maintenance" entry in any dating profile raises red flags for anyone who spots it because it is a clich'e and usually means that the person is the opposite.

5- ENJOYS FINER THINGS IN LIFE
To start, who wouldn't enjoy the finer things in life? I mean, it just goes without saying, but once you put that out there, it's going to tell others that you are an expensive person to be around and they're going to have to dish it out if they plan on being in your company.
So even if you prefer caviar to popcorn shrimp, you don't have to advertise it to the world, unless of course, you can afford to enjoy such things with your own money.
