Mike broke up with me. But this time I don't care. I'm actually so relieved. At least I don't have to pay for the trip to the Bahamas now. Unfortunately I still have the brand new skis "we" bought together in the trunk of my car, which I paid for because he didn't have his wallet on him, as usual. After three months, the guy owes me thousands. Skis, groceries, fancy dinners, lunches, a haircut, etc. The dude NEVER had his wallet. And when I mentioned one day that I'm not a bank, the look of disgust on his face read "f@#$%^g Jewish gold digger. I knew it."

I'm the one who knew it. I'm his senior by ten years. We met at a bar. He called it "Coup de Foudre" (1. A thunderbolt, 2. A sudden, intense feeling of love). I sensed that he was a Bullshitter. Later on, I found out that my instinct was dead on. He was actually there that night on a date, ditched his date for another chick and then made out with me. I didn't notice that both girls had flipped him the bird on their way out. I wonder if he had told them that it was Coup de Foudre. I left with him that night. Something that I NEVER do. Honest. But I hadn't been with a guy for five months and it was driving me nuts. It was fall, the leaves were changing and my loins were tingling. Every guy on the street looked delicious. After that night (and maybe one more cause I left my favorite bracelet at his place totally by accident I swear), I told him it couldn't happen again. The age difference made it impossible. He kept calling. He told me he wanted to have dinner. He made reference to Ashton and Demi, Mariah and Nick. He said I should embrace my inner free spirit. So, instead, I let all my good judgment (once again) fly out the window and continued to see him.
