But before you put those covers over your head and start crying again, check out this list of breakup songs that might just help you get over the moron who thought it was a good idea to let you go.
BREAKUP SONGS #1 AINT IT FUNNY (REMIX) by JENNIFER LOPEZ
Jennifer Lopez was likely speaking to P. Diddy in this song because he treated her like crap, then she dumped him and only then did he begin crying over her, begging her to take him back. Somehow in our minds, we all wish that our ex would come crawling back, begging us to give them a second chance.
In reality, that rarely happens... but this song will still make you feel empowered and you'll be tapping your feet after a couple of beats and may even forget for a moment that you are single again.
BEST LYRIC: I remember how you did me wrong, and now you're hurtin' cause my love is gone, everybody gets a chance to burn, you can take it as a lesson learned.
BREAKUP SONGS #2 DONT STAY by LINKIN PARK
If you're angry as hell and just want to tear the walls out and destroy everything that reminds you of your ex, then blast "Don't Stay" by Linkin Park and yell at the top of your lungs. Yes, you will feel better, believe me.
There are phases we all go through after a breakup and "I wish I could break everything in this place" is one of them. Enjoy the song, but please, don't break everything - it's expensive and your ex just isn't worth the price.
BEST LYRIC: I don't need you anymore, I don't want to be ignored, I don't need one more day, of you wasting me away.
