Egypt is up in arms over this Artificial Virginity Hymen kit and wants to ban it from being sold there because they believe that it will turn women into big whores. The Chinese company that creates it, GIGIMO, states all over its website that they deliver to all Arab countries.
When GIGIMO was contacted in regards to how many kits have actually been sold to Arab countries, they were not available for comment. Shocking.
Prominent Egyptian religious scholar ABDEL MOATI BAYOUMI said "This product encourages illicit sexual relations. Islamic culture forbids these relations except within the confines of marriage. I think this should absolutely not be allowed to be exported because it brings more harm than benefits. Whoever does it (imports it) should be punished."
More harm than benefits to whom exactly?
In a place where having sex before marriage is incredibly taboo and may even be punishable by death, I think it might be a smart idea for women to get their hands on such a product. Because sometimes, even virgins don't bleed after the first time they have sex, so how fair is it to expect blood when the hymen can so easily be torn with something as simple as a tampon? Or a finger?
And as always, the instructions translated literally from Chinese, go a little something like this:
INSERT THIS ARTIFICIAL HYMEN INTO YOUR VAGINA CAREFULLY. WHEN YOUR LOVER PENETRATE, IT WILL OOZE OUT A LIQUID THAT LOOK LIKE BLOOD NOT TOO MUCH BUT JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT. ADD IN A FEW MOANS AND GROANS, YOU WILL PASS THROUGH UNDETECTABLE.
I could not have said it better myself.
